How I Got $78 Back

So church service ends today, and the paters and I are making our way to leave (while chit-chatting along the way, nbd), and I figured I’d stop and chat with some old friends, Phil, Jocelyn, and their daughter Mariah; they used to live in the area years ago but moved to Texas because of Phil’s work, and then moved back just last year. Phil and Jocelyn used to babysit my sis and I when we were tots, and we’ve been able to re-connect, especially Mariah and I - she might only be 17, but we’re great pals now :D

I made a passing mention about my Cali trip, and Jocelyn gives me the

face. “When are you going?”

Me: “…um, this Saturday?”

Jocelyn: “NO WAY. Phil’s heading down for his work, and Mariah’s going with him for vacation and to check out some colleges along the way. GO WITH THEM.”

Within a span of five minutes, I had their phone numbers and will be picked up by Phil and Mariah at around 10 on Saturday!

This week is going to take forever…
