Best Day Ever? So far, so good!

I wake up to a wonderful morning, excited about spending the day with my mum, and it gets even better as I go:

My mum mentions that it’s Wednesday Market downtown, AND my parents present me with “Ponyo” after overhearing me wanting to get the movie at some point.

And here’s my to-do list of things of things that are going to feed the fire of awesome for my day:

~ in general, spending it with my mum, who needs this (going through menopause, not feeling good about herself, etc.)

~ helping my mum feel good about herself, aka finding her some outfits for the upcoming Cali trip. etc.

~ getting some sandals on sale from my store

~ getting a cute skirt

~ getting the book “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”

~ and probably going swimming

My mum, you guys…

I’m sitting on the couch, flipping through Tumblr on my laptop while my mum sits next to me playing Bookworm on her laptop. Now to put things into perspective, my mum’s not all that technologically or modernly savvy. Granted, she’s made me proud by recognizing an Ocarina of Time song before my video game expert buddies, and she quotes Star Wars fluently, but there are still some things she’s not not up to date on yet - certain styles,  Internet memes, jokes, and other things that usually circulate Reddit, Tumblr, and Facebook - that’s when she is either disinterested, or just doesn’t get it.

She turns to me and says, “You know what would be cool, Jo? We should try making steampunk Christmas stockings…you know, with gears and clocks and stuff decorating it.”

My expression:

I seriously have the coolest mum in the world. Any argument against this is invalid.

I just weighed myself, you guys…

…and this time last year, I was 40 lbs. heavier.
