CARGO - A zombie-bitten father tries to save his infant daughter
This is an amazing short film I found on YouTube. Watch it, you won’t be disappointed.
I…just…tears.
Genius. Pure brilliancy.

So I went for a wonderful brisk walk and watched a gorgeous sunset as I did. Then as I’m heading down my street, a neighbor was crossing the opposite way with her two daughters, a 3 year old and a toddler. Now, I’m going along at a good clip, wearing a black hoodie (hood up), sweats, and a scarf to keep my hair back. The little 3-year old looks up as she’s skipping along, sees me, and calls out in an unafraid voice, “Look mommy, an old man!”

If I can be even a QUARTER as clever-sassy as Miss Marple (played by Geraldine McEwan) when I’m an old biddy, I shall be very happy.
In our culture today, people are used to getting things right away. We’ve been programmed for immediacy. People don’t like to wait. But the scripture says, “It’s through faith and patience that we inherit God’s promises.” Sometimes, it’s easy for people to have faith. We declare, “God, I believe I’m going to accomplish my dreams. God, I believe I’m going to overcome this obstacle.” But, it gets harder when we have to walk in patience. When you pray, can you say, “God, I not only believe for big things, but I trust Your timing. God, I’m not going to get discouraged if it doesn’t happen immediately. I’m not going to give up because it’s taken a week, a month or five years. I know the set time is already in my future, so I’m going to wait with faith and patience because I know that it’s on the way.”
Remember, through faith and patience we inherit His promises. Trust His Word, trust His timing and trust that your answer is on its way!
This was the spiritual face-patting that I needed today. I’m struggling with getting my driver’s license, and it seems like I either don’t have the time or I end up failing at it. My goal is to have it before I move down to CA, so your prayers to keep me encouraged about it and to strive for God’s timing will be very appreciated.

Wanna see me shave my head?
This is my girl, Heather. She is a brave, awesome lady, and I am so proud of her decision to do this, and even more proud to have her as a best friend.
And ain’t she just the hottest baldy ever???
Have you ever been out at night under ropes of tiny lights, with guitars, fiddles, and mandolins singing because life is so grand? Where faces are flushed with the light of lamps and a campfire and the joy of being alive and winging such music to the skies above?
I have. And it’s an experience like none other, one that words shame because they cannot capture those glorious moments.
I’ve danced under the stars to distant strains of the bagpipe. I’ve sat beside a fire and listen to the soft, sweet wail of the ulliean pipes. I’ve made torches with cousins and marched about in a field on an autumn night, reveling in the simple fact that we could do such a thing and knowing our Celtic ancestors did the same. I’ve cradled dear friends and family in my arms while quiet music played, to cuddle or comfort them, or to just let them sleep on me and be at peace.
These are the moments where my soul was wrapped in the goodness and blessedness of life. These are the moments I will always cherish. They are my shining, glorious bits of summer that make up the mosaic of my life.
