I’m still alive, guys - just wanted to make a brief update, although I’m still with family, so I can’t go into a ton of detail just yet.
But I will say this:
My grandparents are great, my cousin Hawkeye is the most amazing friend I have, my Uncle Beans is more wonderful than before, and that San Fran trip was AWESOME.

Made it safe to Cali via one of the best road trips of my entire life. There will be pictures ASAP.

You know your family is unfathomably amazing...
…when you can hold a conversation with one of your best bros/cousins via texting in Old English (complete with properly placed “thee’s” and “thou’s”) as though we were warriors conversing like nbd.
I had also let him know that I had sent him a message “through the magic of the Book of Faces.” He got a kick out of that.
This is going to be the best road trip ever.
Cali Roadtrip Adventure update:
Phil called and said we’ll be leaving earlier so we can take our time sight-seeing along the way - hit some backwater towns, maybe check out Crater Lake, etc.)
Best part: he mentioned the Rusty Cow
and the Metal Dragon.
I’ve been passing those 2 on this same trip for years now, and my family’s only been able to get pictures in passing.

Totally forgot how much I love “Ponyo” - watching it now with my mum and cooing over its downright cuteness all over again.
